Profile

My name is Dara Smith, and I am the Kindergarten Paraprofessional for Pod 3. I moved to the Knoxville area in 1996 and attended William Blount High School and Maryville College. My husband Chad is an Alcoa graduate and played football, basketball, and ran track for the school. We have three wonderful children; Jaedyn, Lincoln, and Canaan. Our daughter Jaedyn is a recent graduate of Alcoa and our two boys attend Alcoa schools. 

 

I have over 20 years experience teaching and caring for children. During that time I was an au pair for 5 years, taught Preschool for 2 years, was a Childcare Center Director for 2 years, and have worked with children in numerous volunteer roles. My hobbies are reading books, listening to music, attending concerts, hiking, fishing, kayaking, camping, and attending sports events, especially my sons games. 

 

I love Alcoa City Schools and I am so excited to be a part of this great team at AES!
