I grew up in Alcoa and attended Alcoa City Schools for grades K-12. I am starting my 17th year as an educator at Alcoa Elementary. I am the Academic Interventionist for our building. Part of my job is to work with students in small groups to work on deficit learning areas through intervention. I also work with the paraprofessionals in our building to train them for intervention groups and prepare their assessments for data collection. The other half of my job is to coordinate RTI and Title 1 compliance for our building.

- Education I am a graduate of Alcoa High school and attended Alcoa school K-12. I received by undergraduate degree is Multidisciplinary Studies K-8 from Tennessee Tech University. I also have a Master's and Education Specialist Degree From Memorial University in Curriculum and Instruction. Experience I have been teaching kindergarten at Alcoa for 10 years now. Bio My husband and I live in the city of Maryville. We recently had our first child, a baby boy. My husband is also a teacher in Maryville City Schools. I enjoy running and doing activities outdoors. I love vacationing and spending time with family. Starbucks and reading are also fun hobbies of mine!
