Hello and Welcome! My name is Jamie Swanson. I'm excited to be your child's teacher this year and look forward to working together to make this the best year yet for your child. This is my fifth year working at AES but my first year as a teacher. In the past i've worked in the front office, was a special education paraprofessional, subbed, and was an interim teacher for 1st grade. Our first grade is called the Incredibles and i'm so exited to teach the superheroes in training about how they can be a real life superhero. They will earn their reading capes, math masks, and citizenship badges. In the Incredibles classroom we will learn through games, having fun and being hands on with our lessons.

About Me:
Teaching children has always been my passion and I'm so excited to be able to be in 1st grade and teach every day. In the past i've taught dance, crafts, zumba, pre-k and was a 1st grade interim teacher. I'm originally from Kansas but my husband and I moved to TN 17 years ago and Alcoa 8 years ago. We love this community and have three children in the school system. Keegan is 12, Amelia is 11 and Emery is 8. I love to bake, read, dance but most of all be with my family. I look forward to meeting you and working together to make this the best year yet for your child.
