AES Takes Virtual Field Trips

AES students toured candy companies in Pigeon Forge and Asheville, N.C., this week without ever leaving the campus of Alcoa Elementary School.
With videoconferencing technology, students from the elementary and high school toured Old Mill Candy Kitchen and French Broad Chocolates, interacting with their hosts and asking questions of them.
Last year our students, read “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” even took a virtual ride under a chocolate waterfall, thanks to Jimmy Proffitt, who works in marketing for The Old Mill. Read More
