We made it through our first week! We have learned so much! We have spent a lot of time practicing procedures. Classroom Procedures and rules take some time to learn and master. Once these are mastered, it will allow for more attention and quick transitions to aid in more academic success.
Beginning Monday please say your goodbyes in the coatroom instead of walking your child into the classroom. This will help them begin to learn some independence and responsibility as well as help us with a quick and smooth start to the morning. We appreciate your help.
We have started learning our sight words. We introduced ( I, we) this week and will introduce (Can, had) next week. Please work on these words at home. These words will help your student become a much quicker reader.
We work everyday in a Wilson Fundations phonics Curriculum to help in introducing letters and sounds. We have currently introduced letter “T”. We will introduce letter “B” and “F” next week. Please practice Identifying these letters and their sounds. See if your student can tell you some words that beginning with these letters. Practice makes perfect.
If at any time you have a question or concern with your student, please feel free to email or call your student’s teacher. We are always happy to hear from you.
