Hello, I am the system wide Spanish interpreter for Alcoa City Schools. I moved to the US in 1993 from Bogota Colombia.  My mother was born in the United States and grew up in the lovely state of Virginia.  She met my father at the University of Tennessee.  My father originated from Bogota Colombia but came to the U.S. and attended UT, majoring in Chemical Engineering.  My parents fell in love and after he graduated, they moved back to my father's country.  I was born in Bogota and moved to the US in 1993.  My blended background has helped me work as an interpreter.  Currently, I work with all 4 schools in ACS, assisting parents, students and staff with translations and interpretations.  I also assist the the ESL teachers with their classes.  I feel very privileged to work for Alcoa City Schools and have been the system interpreter for approximately 14 years.  Alcoa City Schools is part of my extended family.  If you are in need of translation services within the school system, please feel free to contact me and I will be happy to assist you.
