I grew up in Pittsburgh, PA and I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Resource Management from West Virginia University, I have Masters of Education and Education Specialist degrees from Lincoln Memorial University.
I moved to Tennessee after getting married. Then, my husband and I spent a year and a half in Suriname, South America before returning and raising a family. I have three children and four grandchildren. My children all graduated from Alcoa, attended the University of Tennessee, and still live in the area with their families. I started teaching kindergarten at Alcoa Elementary, looped with my last class through first and second grade. I enjoyed every grade but second is my favorite.
